At our office, Dr. Afzal, who has more than 10 years of expertise, performs liposuction, a highly effective fat-elimination procedure. This minimally invasive procedure is tailored to several areas of the body, including neck fat (also known as submental and jowl fat). Our procedure involves the use of tumescent fluid, a safe and effective solution containing lidocaine, bicarbonate, and epinephrine. This fluid aids in lifting the fat, making it easier to remove, while the epinephrine minimizes bruising by constricting the blood vessels. Your safety is our priority.
Neck liposuction creates a space between the skin and the platysma. We use subdermal PDO threads inserted behind the earlobe to pull the skin for a more extended lift than a traditional thread lift. The results are similar to a modified neck lift without the downtime, stitches, scars, or downtime.

Does neck liposuction last?

Does neck tightening hurt?
The procedure itself does not hurt, and there is minimal discomfort after the procedure. The soreness may last a couple of days.
What happens during the procedure?
Dr Afzal will mark the treatment area, and we will use tumescent (a mixture of lidocaine, epi, bicarb, and saline) to numb the treatment area. We will wait 30 mins to let the treatment area get numb. Dr Afzal will then use a small cannula and suck the fat out. At the same time, patients can opt to get a neck thread lift. That helps get tighter results with minimal downtime.
