At our office, Dr. Afzal, who has more than 10 years of expertise, performs liposuction, a highly effective fat-elimination procedure. This minimally invasive procedure is tailored to several areas of the body. Our procedure involves the use of tumescent fluid, a safe and effective solution containing lidocaine, bicarbonate, and epinephrine. This fluid aids in lifting the fat, making it easier to remove, while the epinephrine minimizes bruising by constricting the blood vessels. Your safety is our priority.
Dr Afzal offers Power-Assisted liposuction. During this procedure, a vibrating cannula gently breaks away the fat cells, making them easier to extract from the body.
PROCEDURE
You will receive personalized instructions to help you prepare for your liposuction surgery. Even though treatment is done under local anesthesia, we recommend wearing loose-fitting clothing and having a friend or family member drive you to your appointment.
Liposuction is a targeted, minimally invasive procedure. Once your body has been marked for treatment, Dr Afzal will discuss the treatment area before starting the procedure. Tumescent fluid will be injected into the site. The tumescent fluid will be given time to take full effect. Dr. Afzal will make 3-4 tiny incisions per side and will use the slim cannula to artfully extract the fat and sculpt the area into your desired shape and size. Once he has accomplished your goal, you will have bandages, binders, and compression placed in the area of liposuction. No sutures or drains are required after liposuction.
During the procedure, you can go to the bathroom, eat snacks, and will be able to walk to your ride home.

RECOVERY

RESULTS

What happens after liposuction?
