Chemical exfoliation – also known as a chemical peel – is a process used to improve skin tone and texture, reduce brown spots and treat acne by accelerating the natural process of skin cell turn-over, or exfoliation.
Chemical peels are great for re-texturing and brightening the skin for a fresh look. Treatments can be applied to the face, neck and chest to even color tone. Chemical peels are not used to correct lax skin, sagging skin, severe wrinkles or deep scars.
Superficial peels usually involve mild redness the day of the procedure followed by light flaking for three to six days. More aggressive peels can be associated with longer periods of exfoliation. Improvement can be gradual, and a series of treatments is generally recommended for optimal results. Thereafter, occasional treatments help maintain beneficial effects.
A consultation is recommended to determine which chemical peel is best for you.

Perfect 10 Peel
This is an alpha hydroxy acid peel derived from sugar cane or rhubarb. This no down-time peel rapidly removes damaged surface skin cells to reveal fresh skin and stimulate cell rebuilding. It softens fine lines and wrinkles and helps reduce signs of photo-aging, such as skin pigmentation. It is available in varying concentrations, and with the low concentration, you may experience little to no visible flaking.
